Outdoor Sports Centre
Spantech was the Principle Contractor engaged to design and construct an undercover multi-purpose outdoor sports complex housing three full basketball courts and change room facilities for Shalom College in Bundaberg, Qld.
Bundaberg is in Queensland’s cyclone region. Yet the Spantech 370 Series panel was able to span 36m wide required to meet the clearances required for indoor basketball courts.
A key community asset
The building has become a major asset to the community at large.
The college welcomes the community to the school for regular Sunday markets. On those rare days when there is inclement weather, the markets move into the safety of the sports centre.
